I stumbled across wine (quite literally) during my third year at Edinburgh University where I joined the Uni Wine Society and quickly signed up for the Pol Roger Varsity Blind Tasting team where in my first competition I received the top taster prize. This piqued my curiosity and I set out on a mission for the rest of my uni days to not only drink as much delicious wine as I could (along with the majority of my student peers) but to also learn as much as I could about wine as a whole, even choosing to focus my dissertation on the Country of Origin effect on the consumer decision making process.
Fast forward six years and I find myself as a Buyer at one of the UK's leading premium Wine & Spirits distributor - Enotria & Coe. I Started 5 years ago as an assistant buyer and I now cover a wonderful array of wines from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, North America, England and Lebanon. I recently completed the WSET diploma and also an introduction to wine making course to further develop my technical knowledge of wine.
