Paul has twenty years of experience in the wine trade.
Having studied a Masters in International Wine at Dijon University and the prestigious CFPPA Wine school in Beaune, he began his career working for Boisset in Nuits St Georges as Attaché de Presse International and Key Accounts Manager.
After 18 months he was chosen to head up the international growth of one of Burgundy's historic cooperages - the Tonnellerie de Mercurey. This gave him the opportunity to travel to all the major (and many of the minor) wine producing countries of the world, and allowed him to work closely with winemakers in developing their wines through the judicious use of oak. During the 7 years he worked for the cooperage he was fortunate to experience and understand key differences in the culture and approaches to global wine making.
Next followed several roles as an Export Director for some of Burgundy's famous wine houses, during which time he also found the time to work as a Wine Guide and Educator.
Since April 2017 Paul has headed up VINEX's European team as the Business Development Director, with primary repsonsability for Key European buyers, but he has also taken the lead in extending VINEX's reach and supplier base in France, Central and Eastern Europe.
Paul lives and works in Burgundy
